Gravity

Inspiration

Imagine jewelry pieces that explore the profound concepts of balance and unbalance, intertwined with the dynamic forces of movement and gravity. The central theme revolves around the abstract depiction of celestial bodies in orbit within a vast, undefined cosmos.

These pieces not only reflect the physical forces at play but also challenge the viewer to consider the unseen forces that govern our own lives and environments.

Scarred yet free

Inspiration

In the "Scarred yet free" collection, each piece embodies the duality of constraint and freedom, capturing the essence of resilience and transformation. Through the medium of charcoal, representing the scorched remnants of past trials, these pieces reveal the beauty and light that can arise from adversity.

The charcoal elements, dark and raw, contrast with the shimmering highlights of precious metals, stones and pearls, symbolizing the enduring light of the human spirit.

It serves as a constant reminder that even in the face of hardship, one can emerge with strength and brilliance.

Evolution

Inspiration

The 3 pieces have uniquely employing stone-cutting techniques with marble waste from quarries, crystals, and wood. These creations evoke a myriad of sensations: the coolness of the stone, the warmth of the wood, and the distinct heft of each piece. They command attention, grounding you in the moment with their undeniable presence—a reminder in your hands that feels like indelible marks on a timeline. This collection, aptly named "Evolution," symbolizes a journey through time. "Erosion" represents the solid, established past; "Ruins" reflects the unstable, cracked present; and "Skyscraper" imagines a visionary, tech-infused future. Together, they encapsulate an ongoing evolution.

Françoise Gilot

Inspiration

Françoise Gilot is a remarkable source of inspiration due to her artistic brilliance, resilience, and boundless zest for life. As a celebrated painter, she maintained her own creative vision while exploring themes of color and abstraction, forging an independent path throughout her long career. Gilot’s life is a testament to her strength, as she navigated challenges with grace, standing firm in her artistic identity and refusing to be defined by anyone but herself.

What makes Gilot even more inspiring is her enduring passion for life. Well into her 90s, she continued to create, travel, and engage with the world, embodying a joyful spirit and a deep curiosity. Her adaptability and determination to live fully make her not only a symbol of resilience but also of joy and creative longevity, making her a timeless muse for those who seek to live boldly.

When I began this collection, Françoise Gilot was still vibrant and full of life. I had hoped to complete the pieces as a tribute to her while she was alive, but sadly, she passed away before I could finish the last one. Now, the collection stands as both a celebration of her spirit and a tribute to her enduring legacy.
